Christmas in July

A tropical Christmas with all the trimmings in July?

This is a very special event held in Mareeba that brings Far North Nomads and residents of this Atherton Tablelands town together in a yuletide celebration.

The event is hosted by the Campervan and Motorhome Club (CMCA) of Australia and is three nights and days of Christmas festivities. With night time temperatures down to a brisk 12 degrees, Mareeba is ready for roasting fires, Christmas dinner and the warmth of the camaraderie of the road.

More than 200 caravans and motorhomes make the annual pilgrimage to Mareeba to renew old friendships and make new ones at this popular date on the Grey Nomad calendar.

Christmas in July Mareeba-style includes live entertainment, raffles, markets, novelty events, markets and a special Christmas dinner under the stars. The magic of Christmas even means the big man in the red suit with the whiskers will also make a guest appearance.

You don’t’ need to book but just be a member of the CMCA: https://www.cmca.net.au/.

This event has been run for over 24 years for Grey Nomads and is held at Davies Park in Mareeba.
